Summer Art Fun
Somehow this graphic novel grabs you right away with what it means to be in the fifth grade wanting to learn how to do something really, really well -- the angst and the joy -- and, in this case, it's drawing. A summer spent learning and practicing drawing basics is heavenly for young artists. A sketch pad, pencils, visits to museums or art galleries are all that's needed for an intense amount of summer fun! You might also want to hang on to this book for the whole summer...
