The Day the Crayons Quit

Picture book, 30 pages. The crayons are not happy and they've written quite a few letters to Duncan explaining the problems! Published in 2013 by Philomel Books.

Summer Art Fun

What's not to love about crayons?! While they are perfect to use on a rainy summer day, crayons can be used in lots of non-traditional ways. Let your little ones help you make Crayon Cookies or Stained Glass Windows from old crayons. Or ask your child to choose their favorite crayon to write or draw a card to a friend or family member -- and walk to the post office box to mail it!

And for those kiddos who just want to know how a crayon is made, check out Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood "How People Make Crayons."
