The Circles Around Us

3/2/2022

Picture book, 32 pages. Published in 2021 by Dial Books For Young Readers.

Recap & Review

The circle begins with just one's self, but circles can be added to include many others. With kindness we bring more and more people into our circle of love. The illustrations, as well as the type style, are elegant and engaging in their simplicity. This book will make an excellent gift for my Little Guy and Noodle!

Learning Suggestions

Family Read Aloud Time
Your children are going to love this book!  Using circles to describe our spheres of relationships is easily understood by children. Read it during morning basket time, read it at lunch, and again at bedtime -- you will even find the littlest ones "reading" the pictures.  And, if you regularly talk about the world's problems with your children, then this book is perfect for explaining why bad things can happen when our circles exclude others - circles including others are a concrete visual for children.
