Oodles of Fortitude & Courage
Seeing life differently or asking questions which run counter to prevailing thought takes fortitude and courage, especially during a time when women and people of Japanese heritage faced significant discrimination. Clark needed oodles of both qualities as her curiosity led her to study living sharks.
Children's passions and interests may lead them to unpopular points of view or express thoughts which are different from others' thoughts, but it's our job to help them develop courage and fortitude in the face of opposition. Shark Lady
