Recap & Review

Edward loves his stuff and just keeps on collecting. But it's up to his friends to rescue him when his stuff traps him inside his house! And it's HILARIOUS!  Edward's story is a modern-day morality tale filled with giggles.
Parents' Simplicity Credo:
Use Things

Learning Suggestions

Family Read Aloud Time
Stuff
is a fun read aloud and will promote lots of giggles if you take the time to explore the pictures and use some different voices for the three characters!

Learning at Home
Surprisingly, Northwestern Mutual's  5-Ways to Raise Non-Materialistic Children is concise and pragmatic.  Incorporating their tools into your parenting tool-kit and reading books such as Palatini's Stuff will help parents teach children that people are more important than things.

Classroom Options
An excellent book to use when teaching about character arcs; there is not a specific set of lessons written to accompany the book, but TeacherWriter has a great resource Using Picture Books to Teach Character Arc.

Margie Palatini

Palatini's numerous children's books include Bedhead and The Three Silly Billies.  All of her books must pass her son's giggle test before being eligible for publishing!

Noah Z. Jones

Jones is the author and/or illustrator of many children's books. He was an illustrator and creative director for FableVision Studios whose clients include Nickelodeon and PBS.
