Learning Suggestion

Family Read Aloud Time
If your kiddos have not met Ranger Rick, this is a perfect title for an introduction!

Learning at Home
Geography! Learn about elephants and their habitat at the same time - I Wish I Was An Elephant focuses on African elephants. The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee offers excellent background information about elephants and their habitats.

Classroom Resource
Classroom libraries at the primary level should include plenty of the I Can Read Books -- all five levels!

Jennifer Bove & The National Wildlife Federation

Bove writes for the NWF's Ranger Rick Jr. magazine and books which feature their mascot, Ranger Rick. The National Wildlife Federation, founded in 1936, is the largest conservationist organization in the United States. Read about Ranger Rick's history as the Federation's mascot for children.
