A Keeper! Wow - this is an amazing book! Joy is overflowing in the text and illustrations in Let's Go! Joy in harvesting what nature provides for food, as well as for every other item needed for the Tlingit, Haida and Tsmishian peoples to thrive! It's a delight-filled journey through the seasons framed by these Southeast Alaskan First Peoples' traditions and cultural values. Their gratitude and reverence for all animals and plants is presented with wonder - the more I examine the illustrations, the more I appreciate their beauty. This book is a keeper! Ideas for Making it Real November is Native American Heritage Month and Let's Go! is an excellent choice for learning the harvest values and traditions of the Tlingit, Haida and Tsmishian.
