Although he claims his first picture book was created by accident, he has published books which have earned the Nestle's Smarties Book Prize, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, the Kate Greenaway Medal, as well as receiving the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award 8 times!

Book Synopsis

Will and his Mother help a bird with a broken wing, even when nobody else saw it. But with rest, time and little hope a bird may fly again!
