Ideas for Making it Real

It's been a little over ten years since Curiosity landed on Mars but you can still follow along at NASA's Science MARS Exploration Program as she continues her mission. (You can follow the MARS 2020 Perseverance Rover's mission at the same site.)  While NASA offers a wealth of learning resources for older children, teens and adults, there are fewer resources for early childhood learning. But, never fear, you can come up with so many ways to make it real for the littles - here are few ideas:

• Help your little one to make a Mars Playscape - you can shop for a kit or use the pictures at Inspire My Play to jump start your own creativity.
• If you don't mind getting messy, make a solar system - or just the Red Planet - out of papier mache with directions at Instructables.
