Today my daughter informed me that GB is the size of a large peanut butter cup. A peanut butter cup. There are so many pregnancy apps and my daughter gets a regular update on size and development comparing the GB to a candy bar. "Hmm, I wonder if the baby is the size of a peanut butter cup or a Snickers?" What ever happened to fruit? Your baby is the size of a lime at 12 weeks. Or a cantaloupe at 24 weeks; although, that one always creeped me out -- the image of a rough, bumpy melon.... eew. Wonder how my daughter will feel when GB is the size of the world's largest Gummy Bear -- four and a half pounds of translucent, sticky sweetness! GB, we will need to talk about candy. It is very important to choose your favorite candy wisely and I'm sure your Grandpa will help you figure this one out. Do not rely on your parents to steer you in the right direction in this case -- they are going to tell you that candy is bad for you and that you must limit how much you eat. Wait! I've already promised your Mom and Dad that we would honor their parenting rules. Oh, drat. GB, this one is going to take a bit of thought on how to support your parents and be great grandparents, but I'm sure we can tackle this together. Hang in there, kid -- we won't let you miss the finer things in life! Your Nonna Are there apps for expectant Grandparents?!! Oh, the possibilities.....
