Open Letter to Senators & Congressperson

Thank you, Oregon Senators & Congressperson, for all that you are doing to hold the Trump administration accountable. 

I think you understand the challenges we face raising children during a time when family well-being and safety is at the forefront of every parent and grandparent's heart - the anxiety is overwhelming for so many of us, and yet, we continue stand up to the fear with hope and actions. We call on you to stand with us loudly and powerfully in your role.

I am angry that GOP Senators squandered their opportunity to rein in Trump by voting to dismiss the Venezuela War Powers legislation. When you speak to any colleague across the aisle, please remind them that the American People will not forget the GOP complicity in supporting Trump - they really should be more concerned about their constituents than remaining in their seats.

It's crazy out there and there are so many untenable actions which need to be addressed, but I will keep my request for today to my Big 3 action items:

1. Continue to do whatever is required to force the release of all the Epstein files now.
2. Please STOP the attack against NATO & Greenland - are we really willing to violate a treaty protecting the US that has stood for nearly 77 years? Does Trump & Company understand the devastating economic impact we would experience when all of our allies stand against us?
3. NO INSURRECTION ACT nor Martial Law - your vigorous vocal support of impeaching DHS Secretary Noem AND cutting the DHS budget is needed now.  I do not want my tax dollars supporting ICE instigating violence against protestors, thus creating the appearance that either the Insurrection Act or martial law is required.
